As we step into 2025, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared at Womenlines.com and the boundless potential that lies within each woman across the globe. This isn’t just another new year – it’s your invitation to embrace the extraordinary power you possess and write the next chapter of your story with intention and purpose.
The Power of Self-Care: Filling Your Cup First
Think of yourself as a magnificent vessel of energy, wisdom, and love. How can we nurture others if our own cup runs dry? In our rush to be everything to everyone – mothers, professionals, partners, friends – we often forget the fundamental truth: self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential. This year, I urge you to make a sacred commitment to yourself. Prioritize your physical health, mental well-being, and emotional balance. Remember, when you thrive, you inspire and elevate everyone around you.
Women Leading the Way
As we enter 2025, we’re witnessing an encouraging shift in global leadership. Currently, 29 countries where 30 women serve as Heads of State and/or Government, Of the 42 CEOs appointed in Q3 2024, seven were women—accounting for 17% of all incoming CEOs — significantly higher than the Q3 average of 10%. Though these numbers represent progress, they’re not enough. We envision a future where these figures double, triple, and eventually reflect the true proportion of women in our global population. Every woman reading this could be the next leader we’re counting on these statistics.
A Personal Journey of Growth
Let me share my own story of transformation in 2024, hoping it resonates with your experiences and aspirations. Womenlines achieved remarkable milestones, securing the third position among the top 20 online magazines for women empowerment – an achievement we’re carrying proudly into 2025. Our digital presence strengthened, ranking high in Google searches for inspirational content for women.
The Triumphs
- Womenlines secured a coveted spot at number 3 on the list of top 20 online magazines for women empowerment, and Womenlines consistently ranks at the top of Google search results for ‘Online magazines for women’ and ‘Inspirational videos for women’.”. and we’re continuing to climb the ladder in 2025!
- I embarked on a challenging but rewarding journey of preparing a pitch deck for a startup competition. While I may not have won, the experience was an invaluable learning curve.
- Transitioning into the role of a trainer not only allowed me to share my knowledge but also honed my communication and presentation skills.
- The year was graced with two prestigious awards – the HER Courage Award and recognition by the World Women Leadership Congress & Awards. These accolades served as a powerful validation of my efforts.
- My commitment to self-improvement led me to pursue and obtain a certification in AI and digital marketing, further equipping myself for the future.
- Juggling motherhood and professional aspirations can be a constant tightrope walk. But with the unwavering support of my family, I successfully navigated PSLE year for my daughter and her admission through DSA (a system familiar to my Singaporean readers).
The Challenges
- The ever-expanding ocean of online content can be overwhelming, making it difficult to stand out from the crowd.
- Carving a distinct niche for Womenlines in this crowded digital space presented its own set of challenges.
- As with most women, I grappled with personal struggles that tested my resilience. Mental health challenges are a reality, and navigating them while maintaining a healthy work-life balance is an ongoing battle.
- Moments of self-doubt crept in, questioning my path and choices. But these doubts, however unsettling, ultimately served as stepping stones to growth.
