Uplift- Network for Inspiration!

Uplift- Network for inspiration group, an initiative of Dream Catchers & Womenlines, organized a networking meet on 25th Sep at Myra’s @stadium, 11 am to 1 pm. The objective was to meet and connect with new entrepreneurs, to empower and support each other, mingle, network, hear an inspiring story, and yes listen to some melodic songs too!!

Bhavana Bahl Malhotra – Mrs.India 2017 Winner – Queen of Substance was the speaker at the meet. Multi-talented Bhavana has been an art director, a fashion stylist, a dancer, a fashion marketer, a fitness instructor, and a model. Her inspirational journey about ups and downs she faced before and after winning the crown, what helped her winning and above all how she keeps herself motivated, to achieve her dreams really inspired the audience. Participants freely interacted with each other, shared their stories, got a chance to network with each other and bonded well. It was a pleasure to have Dhanashree Pandav as one of the singers for the meet who added the fun element to the meet. Dhanashree describes music as her passion and takes every opportunity to showcase her talent to the audience which gives her opportunity to refresh herself and make new friends.  Bageshree Iyer, who runs ‘PotPourri’ in Singapore which is a platform for thematic music concerts, was the other eminent singer at the meet who delighted the audience with her amazing voice. Shalima Motial, founder, CEO of Dream Catchers and Charu Mehrotra, founder Women Lines addressed about the importance of networking in present times.

Networking is not only collecting cards and approaching each other for business. It is about, connecting with a fellow entrepreneur, understanding each others problems, exchanging knowledge, finding out solutions, looking out for opportunities to grow and also have some fun together. Networking gives an opportunity to strive for excellence by motivating, sharing and caring for each other along the journey. Face-to-face networking definitely creates lasting impressions in the minds of people we meet. As entrepreneurs, we need motivation, connection, bonding, and support from people who have the same mindset.
